He has had... a fantastic break. Finding Michael again, making a new "friend", even Euri showing up has put him in a better place than he was before. He hadn't realized it, but Tek is a lot of work. It was nice to not have to battle off mind games and manipulation and his many petty fits over nothing.
But just like he said Tek was a real snake, he also said he liked him. And it's true, otherwise he wouldn't have bothered showing up again so soon. Tracking down the distinct feeling of him through the tower, he's eventually knocking on his door.
"Hey," called through the door. "You busy?"

Despite how undemanding it's been, he's almost worn out from it all, hence the lazing around his room. There were too many things to do, too much to think about and play with; sleep had fallen by the wayside.
So, it takes him a minute--yawning and streeeeetching--before he calls back.
"No, not particularly."
no subject
"Great." Since he's not interrupting anything, he walks right over and takes a familiar seat on the edge of Tek's nest. "I just thought I'd say hello."
And stay the night, but that's implied by now.

So, there's no hesitation when Robin comes over. He rolls onto his stomach, hoists himself over to the edge of the bed, already smiling.
"All of the sudden?"
no subject
He's smiling too. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, or something like that. Stretching up, Robin leans back and half-slides head-first into the mass of pillows. He cranes his neck to look back at Tek, though.
"This is the first night in a while I haven't had anything to do, actually. People are showing up left and right."
no subject
"You've noticed too, hmm? It's been hard to keep up."
no subject
His gaze drifts over those pretty eyes of his. Impulsively, he twines fingers in his hair and pushes himself up so that he can kiss his pretty mouth, too.
Sparks all over again. Visiting was definitely a good idea.
After a moment he separates and settles back down, keeping his hand in his hair.
"What have you been up to, then?"
no subject
He'd missed this.
"Everything but sleeping."
no subject
"Everything, huh?" A comfortable laugh. "Then you might have me beat."
no subject
And it's not said with any spite. Bragging, sure, but simply stated as a point of interest. One of the many small adventures he'd had lately--for once, not trying to twist some certain reaction out of Robin.
no subject
"Oh yeah? With who?" That poor bastard.
no subject
Fresh blood is nice, but they miss everything.
"She called herself Nicole. She's a clever little thing."
no subject
"Huh..." He fidgets with strands of Tek's hair while he thinks. "Is that the new girl who showed up?"
no subject
He's had felines on the brain, lately. That's probably why.
"Mhmm. I think we really hit it off." --Smirking his way through the words.
no subject
"Good on you, making friends," spoken with his own satirical smirk.
no subject
"She even gave me a present. I think she likes me."
Yep, really can't keep a straight face through that one.
no subject
He resumes running his fingers through his bedmate's hair, tucking little strands out of the way--not that there's much of that to do, given that Tek's hair is usually perfect anyway. "What kind of a present?"
no subject
He still can't wait to show what became of the necklace that Robin had helped him buy. He'd been so busy, arranging deals, acquiring unique little treasures for himself, gathering stories, collecting acquaintances. He hadn't realized how much he'd been looking forward to playing show-and-tell with it all until now.
"I also had a pet for a very short while."
no subject
Pets, though-- "Now you're just showing off." He laughs at the ridiculous idea. "What do you mean?"
no subject
"It came scratching at my door of all places."
no subject
"What did it look like?"
no subject
He's entirely too amused at his own story, with that inside-joke smirk on his face.
no subject
His cat's a tabby. Nothing to worry about, then. And with the way Tek is smirking about it, he's starting to wonder if it was really a cat at all. He resumes his fidgeting, slowly starting up little braids out of want for direction.
"And it went and picked you, huh?"
no subject
And when he notices that Robin isn't just running his fingers along as he had before, he opens his eyes, looking up like he'd be able to see what is being done to his hair.
"...It was a short-lived affair, however. After it got what it wanted, and I refused to feed it, it left."
no subject
"Perhaps for the better. You're enough of a cat to make up for not having one."
no subject
Rolling from one thing to the other without pause, shaking his head a little.
