HIGHSCHOOL // AU
This shit has practically become its own canon so here's a post pulling it all together.
1) Robin and Tek meet at a party, get drunk, play gay-chicken in a closet, get kicked out of said party, and then have a weird sleepover at Robin's house.
2) They wake up in the middle of the night because Tek has to puke, but Robin is nice about it and the two of them fall back asleep.
3) They meet up again after school, and Robin "invites" Tek out to go eat at Danny's and see a movie.
3) At the movies, hilarity ensues.

Also notes for the canon:
Robin's parents are divorced; his biological dad is not brought up much. His step-father is doing work abroad and has brought many of Robin's step-siblings with him. Robin was left behind to finish his education and he's been bitter about it ever since. His aunt swings by to take care of him, feed him, make sure he's doing okay, etc., and his mom Skypes with him at least a couple of times a week.
Also his teenage name is "Robin Redmond", lol.

[contrary to Tek, Robin can't bring to mind the last time he made out with someone while he was this sober. his few encounters with boys have mostly been at parties, short and confused and often denied ("Man, I was so drunk last night... I don't remember anything...") the next morning. his ex-girlfriend has dominated his life on-and-off for the past year--but at the tail end of their relationship, kissing was just the thing they did on the way to fucking, and being around her was so exhausting that he wouldn't agree to it unless he was good and drunk anyway.
there was one time he made out with a boy without drinking first, but it ended badly. it was stiff and awkward, not like this at all. he's never had another boy's hand go wandering so confidently before. between the haze of kind touches and soft lips he almost forgets he's allowed to do something with his own hands.
with a girl, with Amy, he would... put a hand on her hip. so he starts there with Tek, too, quietly marveling at the difference as he starts to run his palm along his angles, the shape of his waist, the soft skirt hiding what would otherwise be flat planes. he's excited to explore, thrilled at the chance, but being this close also makes him nervous; he doesn't know what to do, or how far Tek will let him go, and the whole thing seems so impossible that he can't help but fear how fragile the moment must be.
but it doesn't stop him from kissing him. if anything, it keeps him going. he's wanted something like this for a long time, and he doesn't want to waste any second of it now that he actually has it. so, with his heart thundering in his chest, he moves his other hand to the other side of Tek's waist and pulls him in closer, gently prompting him forward.
fuck, maybe wanting a stranger to crawl into his lap is greedy at this point--but "live for the moment", right?]
no subject
this maneuver must not be a new one, because he doesn't break the kiss while he does so. he rests a pretty hand on the side of Robin's face to help stabilize things and just slinks on up like it's no big thing.
Robin doesn't have someone groping him anymore, but he does have a boy snuggled up in his lap. hopefully, it's an adequate trade.]
no subject
he really likes this. he still can't believe it's happening, even though he's the one who asked for it. his fears, his judgement, his sense of the world around him are all starting to slip away... blood isn't exactly going straight to his brain, after all.]
Mm... [whatever he'd been thinking about getting a moment to calm down gets lost in other senses.] You smell nice...
[and then he's kissing his neck, trailing slowly up and down. his other hand is absently running along the boy's thigh, getting a little braver with each pass.]
no subject
and then Robin starts in on his neck and that lightheaded feeling gets worse. even while all numb and weightless, he's still kind of a sucker when it comes to that. he squirms like it tickles, but makes sure not to shrug up his shoulder or pull away. no need to give Robin the wrong idea and risk him stopping.
it's just as nice as the warm hand on his leg, honestly. the hand that had slipped from Robin's face to his shoulder gets antsy, conveying encouragement with happy, fidgety fingers along the collar of hiss shirt.]
no subject
and if that goes well, he'll finally start running his hand over Tek's lap, feeling his way around (and finally solving that age-old mystery: what the hell does the gender-bending teenager actually have going on below the waist?).]
no subject
so, there are absolutely no qualms to be had about Robin doing a little exploring of his own. it turns out that beneath his carefully-chosen clothing (such as his well-fitted boxer briefs, because no one wants weird lumps showing where there shouldn't be while wearing a skirt) he's just as much boy as Robin is. and he's having just as much fun.
after just a moment of that sort of attention, he can't help but shift in place a little. that restlessness that had him fidgeting continues to spread, until he (either eagerly or self-consciously or both) turns his head and bullies back towards Robin's face, hunting to catch him in another kiss.
he's having a hard time thinking--he's not meaning to try, it's just kind of what he does, even at a time like this. all the interesting little thoughts he'd been toying with for the past few days are suddenly true and happening. the drinks in his system make it seem like it's all happening more quickly than it is. and he likes it. he's dizzy and feeling stupid, his brain floats up to gain a certain perspective on things, and something clicks.
a few heated seconds into another deep kiss, gratefully slinking closer where he's being touched, he... suddenly laughs a little, against Robin's mouth.]
no subject
but right now, he doesn't really care what happens, only that something is happening. the only other time he's been this handsy with a boy was that singular, awkward night from years ago--and there's very little he wouldn't do for the chance to replace those memories with the image of someone who actually wants his attention.
so his guard is down when Tek suddenly laughs. he laughs too, a little giggle in response, as if it were contagious, and asks--]
What...? Why're you laughing?
[his voice comes out quietly--but somehow it still surprises him to hear it out-loud, as if finally hearing a shard of solid reality through the haze of his dreamland.]
no subject
it's a good out-loud giggle, now that there's not someone else's face in the way. and then hearing that stupid sound makes it worse. the laugh compounds and he ends up plunking his forehead against Robin's a little helplessly.
something is apparently very funny.]
no subject
[it's really... cute, seeing him helpless like this all of a sudden. it goes on for so long that Robin begins to worry, a little, that maybe Tek has suddenly run second thoughts or has finally cracked under the enormous pressure of whatever instability leads to his bad decisions--but at the same time, Robin is still half-soaked in hormones and stupid, brain-numbing giddiness, so all the worries in the world couldn't keep him from giggling back and dragging Tek closer into a warm hug.]
Oh no, I broke him... [he jokes to no one.]
no subject
Gross! [anything but hugs and affection! yuck!]
no subject
[he laughs, making up for Tek now that he's finally stopped giggling. he gives him an affectionate squeeze before snuggling his face aimlessly towards his new boyfriend's cheek.]
You think that's gross? [it's funny how... comfortable he feels, even though they've stopped.] What the hell where you laughing about, huh?
no subject
though, at the question, he does pause in his squirming long enough to pull back and grin up into the face of his attacker.]
I just... you'll never believe it.
no subject
[he says this with an ounce of dread, even though he has to try very hard not to outright grin as he sidles his way closer again. they may be talking now, but it feels good to be close to him, and that isn't going to go away unless he has a very cold shower.]
Okay, try me. What is it.

[the explanation probably isn't meant to actually be reassuring, though. just to get Robin wondering as he heads over.
and when he gets there, Tek will be waiting at one of the little round outdoor tables like he usually is--hiding from the afternoon sun in the only seat that is fully in the shade of the umbrella, playing on his phone and munching on a nearly-empty basket of fries.]
no subject
when he pulls into the DQ parking lot a little while later, he cannot imagine what Tek has to show him. he hopes that it's something stupid, like maybe he fished some old VHS tape out of a used junk store and wants to drag Robin into reliving a bit of that late 80s childhood--but he knows that it's probably something way more likely to get them into trouble.
still, here's there, isn't he? he closes the car door and saunters on up to where his friend is hiding from the sun.]
How's it going, Dracula? [he slides into the seat across from Tek, smirking lazily.] What'cha got?
no subject
brushing salt off of his fingers, he tsk-tsks at Robin.]
Ooo, you were close, but Dracula is not quite right.
[and as if this is directly related and explains anything at all, he reaches down to the bag at his feet, retrieves a sizable, featureless, brown cardboad mailing box, and proudly plunks it down on the table.]
no subject
the box is a little more distracting, though. Robin sits up from where he'd been naturally slouching forward, looking it over for any clues. no mailing address, no obvious labels...]
Whoa, what is it? [and what does that have to do with Dracula? he fidgets with his earlobe, thinking.] A really small coffin, or something?
no subject
I said not Dracula. Any other guesses?
[eyes bright, leaning forward with shoulders hunched up in eager excitement, he is clearly immensely proud of whatever treasure he has acquired.]
no subject
This is a weird sex thing, isn't it.
no subject
there's no tape in the way, so he had obviously opened it up at home and repacked the whole thing to bring out here and show Robin. he rustles around, pulls out a wad of crumpled packing paper and puts it on the table, rummages through a few layers of bubble wrap...
and then there it is.
shiny, tangled brown hair, rumpled green velvet... Tek stands a weird porcelain doll up on the table, and grins proudly, ear-to-ear.]
