Coil catches back up pretty fast, quickly becoming a functioning member of the team again. Zhas can trust him to walk around the castle unsupervised. Zhas trusts him to watch his back when they finally start hunting again. It's strange that Coil eats with Saoirse now, more than he eats with Zhas, but at least Zhas doesn't have to keep nagging him about it anymore.
Feeding practice has been tricky, but they've managed. The challenge has moved from not killing animals to not completely draining a whole container of human blood. Zhas actually gave him a couple of humans to practice on last week, though they'd been thoroughly drugged.
It was really funny to watch Coil stumble around afterwards. The whole experience has given Zhas a lot of notes about the vampiric condition, if nothing else.
