[Screaming would definitely help. Dog's hearing a whoosh, but he assumes it's some large bird and resumes sniffing at a burrow he's found.

A split second later he's making a loud URK sound as a boney girl that is not Euri lands on him.]

it takes her a second, but when she realizes she is still conscious and not a splat on the ground, she sits bolt upright and pats herself down.]

I'm actually from Seattle. Do you know why I fell out of the sky like that?

[He has no idea what Seattle is, so that isn't much help. But they're nowhere near the tower, which is unusual....]

I suspect because this place has an unusual sense of humour.
