Accord // Canon
After getting her neck torn to shreds, being drained of more blood than she'd like, and being impossibly embarrassed to boot, Krista's left in a state of barely-contained emotional distress and a general, all-purpose, weak-at-the-knees sort of situation. She managed to stabilize against the blood loss with one of her spells, but she's still exhausted and wobbly and kind of just feels like finding a place to curl up and cry.
Normally, she'd have Anton around for this. Maybe she'd even go to Alysia or Gretchen. There was always someone around for girl talk (Anton counting because he was always more like a girl than a boy anyway), but here? She doesn't really like anyone except some strangers and... well...
She stops by Tek's door, and then just kind of... doesn't... go anywhere else. She stares up at the nameplate for a while. She squints, because she's getting kind of dizzy again. She wonders if she secretly has a concussion, or, like, some kind of minor head trauma. That'd be just her luck.
She raises a hand to, weakly, knock on the door (since she can't call out very well).

It's something to pass the time.
So, there's just a halfhearted mumble and then a slightly louder "Come in." Hopefully she can hear it. If not, the door is unlocked.
no subject
And... it's somehow a lot fancier than she'd imagined. And she'd imagined at least moderately fancy, given Tek's... um... personality, and the whole dragon thing to boot.
"Wow..." She tries to see where Tek is, and hones in on his death aura pretty quickly. "Your room's really nice."
no subject
Ha, he almost seems offended when he looks over from his desk and sees her there. It's obvious that he'd been expecting someone else.
But, she's already halfway in, so... he sighs and stretches a little, taking his time in standing and making his way over.
"Can I help you?" asked before he reaches the door. Maybe it will be a quick matter, a question or something, that he can take care of by the time he reaches it.
no subject
She sidesteps her way into the room before he can shut the door on her. It's easy. She's thin. To be fair, she probably could have found a horrible way to squeeze herself under the door even if he closed it, but she'd rather it not get to that point.
"I was just... wondering if I could, um... ask you something...?"
She sounds... tired. Which is odd, for her. She also seems nervous, awkward, and looks down as soon as she's said what she does. She's fidgety, shifting her feet a little.
no subject
"...What is it?"
He glances to the door and back. But, no... he really can't guess what this could be about. None of his current guesses seem to fit.
no subject
But she makes the mistake of thinking about Kett, and how... she was at least... nicer, if only because it fit the conversation at the time... and how Krista would much rather talk to her right now, and... She manages a light blush, even with all that blood missing.
"Can you... change into Kett, for a minute?"
no subject
So, after a slightly bewildered tilt of his head... he obliges.
Losing a little bit of height, clothes and hair and curves all changing, he switching faces.
And she will then start in with the questions, though there's not quite as much smugness in her voice as there would have been if the girl hadn't seemed so... wrong.
"Why?"
no subject
Yes, that seems much better.
What she means to do is give her a stupid hug to make herself feel better, because hugs make everything feel better. But with her general, overall lack of strength right now, she ends up more collapsing onto Kett than anything.
Wheezed out like it's the worst thing in the world: "My life doesn't make any sense."
no subject
She automatically recoils, but it's not as jarring of a motion as it could have been. Halfway caught between shrugging the girl away from her, and... catching her before something more dramatic happens. Not quite committing to a hug, but not shoving distance between them either.
"I don't know if it's supposed to."
Because, at first, she's thinking that this is the result of some teenage disaster--goodness knows why she'd come to her for comfort--but that thought turns around almost as quickly as she arrives at it. The actual evidence behind the unsettled feeling is beginning to make itself clear. She smells blood; the girl doesn't feel right.
Not that she's concerned for her or anything, but... she should probably find out...
"...What happened?"
no subject
"Augh, I got attacked by that crazy vampire..." At least Krista's very light to hold up, even with her draping. "And now I'm all fucked up."
Oops, there it is. The sniff. Hiding her face against Kett's shoulder, because she's already embarrassed enough.
"A-And I don't know what... her problem is... but I just kind of really got freaked out and I... couldn't think of anything else to do but hide in here for a second so I'm really sorry."
no subject
...Ugh, and there's the sniffle.
Automatically, she glances around the room, as if checking to make sure that no one else is mysteriously around. And then she lets her head fall back for a moment in resignation, taking a moment to shut her eyes and breathe, sigh... before stretching to reach out with one arm to nudge the door shut.
"Come on," herding her over so they can have a seat on the edge of the bed. She needs to sit down to deal with this.

She even leaves her arm looped around the girl's shoulders as they sit.
"Are you hurt?"
no subject
She tries not to lean on Kett too much, but she's so pretty and comfortable... much better than Tek would have been. Maybe it's stupid, but she feels much more comfortable here. She rubs the side of her neck--still very sore, even if it's not a gaping wound anymore.
"Or... less than that, since I think I'd be dead if literally half my blood was missing...? There was a big hole in my neck, but it's fixed now. I think."
She quietly leans her head back on her shoulder. She smells nice.
"And I got hit in the head pretty hard, so you can blame whatever on that, too."
no subject
Kett frowns to herself and sets a hand on the girl's hair, petting a little. Comforting maybe, but it's mostly a way to fidget while she thinks.
"You were attacked in the tower?"
no subject
She rubs her neck more, but eventually stops doing that because she has to cover her face instead and speak, muffled, through her fingers.
"It's so embarrassing, oh my fucking god."
no subject
Lowering her voice a little, into the lightly-teasing range, she gives the girl's shoulder a small squeeze.
"...Were you eating dead leaves again?"
no subject
"No, no, nothing like that. I just said something she didn't like a couple of days back, and she went all... crazy about it."
no subject
"If you're going to go around doing upsetting things, you should be able to defend yourself." --Because, she still thinks this must be where the embarrassment comes in. Krista seems like the type to pride herself in being self-sufficient. Kett had sure been under the impression that she could take care of herself, after all.
no subject
"I can, I just... She does something that makes it really hard to, you know, set her on fire, or whatever. She would have died if she wasn't dead already."
That gets her groaning into her hands again, "Ugh, she's such a bitch."
no subject
Yeah, she has to ask now, especially since it's sounding like this thing is undead.
As much as necromancers and the undead are things that she's learned just to try and avoid, knowing what's out there and learning what they can do seems like a smart thing to do. And she can't think of any undead ability that she knows of that would match what the girl is describing.

Krita's just going to bury her face, completely, in her hands this time. She doesn't want to look up and see Kett's expression when (and if) she manages to tell her. Maybe coming in here was really a bad idea after all.
"S-Something about her bite makes it, uh... feel really good?" She shakes her head, that last bit barely audible, not looking not looking not looking. "It's stupid..."
no subject
Oh, someone is all ears now.
She even shifts a little, turning to try and sneak a better look at Krista's face. She doesn't want to disturb her, certainly doesn't want her to retreat back into her shell... but the curiosity is getting pretty bad now.
"...Oh?"
no subject
Her face is getting sooooo red, even behind her hands. She's trying very hard to hide against Kett's shoulder, since that's really the only place she can hide.
"Don't say 'oh'! It's really creepy, okay?"
no subject
She goes back to petting the girl's hair--fingers light, less fidgeting.
"I'm just trying to understand what happened."
no subject
But she refuses to lose this battle completely. After a moment of sniffling, she pushes herself up off of Kett's shoulder and uses her sleeve to rub away at her eyes. It's probably a good thing that her makeup is stylistically messy to start with, seeing as it's a proper mess now.
"I... I've really got no right to ask, but do you think... I could, like, just... hide in your room until the sun is up?"
She sinks down a little, hunching over on herself. "I can... tell you what happened, I just..."
no subject
A couple ground rules are key, here.
"As long as this doesn't become a habit..." No uninvited sleepovers, no surprise visits, no letting herself in when no one is around... "You can stay."
The promise of finding out more about this incident is the price of admission.
no subject
She perks up again, happier already. Maybe a little too happy. She might have been playing the weepy look for all it was worth, a second ago--or maybe she's just really relieved she doesn't have to go back out there for a while. It's embarrassing, but she'll take the sacrifice.
"I just don't want to have to deal... if she's still out there. I feel like passing out enough as it is."
no subject
Just shifting a little, scooting back on the bed enough to draw up her legs and settle amongst the pillows.
"And then what? You'll be fine on your own after tonight?"
no subject
"Yeah. I won't let her do that again."
Krista draws her thin legs up onto the bed too, dragging her knees up to her chest.
"Next time I'll just kill her."
