It's both words of wisdom and a subtle warning. Any time that Irahl agrees with Robin in any way should be taken as a bad omen, so hopefully Vincent won't be catastrophically caught off guard when Irahl then reaches out to give Vincent a gentle shove toward deeper water.

It's still not deep enough to go over his head if he touches down, and it's not all the way to the big drop-off, but it's the first nudge toward getting Vincent to go from floating (barely) to swimming.
