Those fingers and toes might never lose some of their charcoal stain, no matter how clean they are. Normally half a lifetime of working with gears and oil or digging in black soil is needed for that kind of that kind of dedication embedded under fingernails, but Phalanx has somehow managed it (presumably) without that kind of work.
