Surprisingly competently, Phalanx slumps back until they can unfold one leg out from under them and poke a few toes above the surface of the water. A knee clunks loudly into one wall of the tub along the way, but it's just another thing that Phalanx doesn't seem to notice.

And of course that's what the creature had meant. What else could it have been?
