And then Krista is suddenly free and the effect drains out of her and leaves her with a fuzzy realization that the crazy shark vampire just drained a lot of blood and she's bleeding all over the pool. The being naked part kind of hits secondary consideration.

So in a bizarre, almost sluggish panic, she ignores Tabby completely and fishes her way back towards the edge of the pool. She has just enough strength (probably adrenaline) to pull herself up over the ledge, but does little more than collapse onto her side the moment she's up there.
