[once they are finally (after how many years now?) two honest creatures looking at each other's faces without any pretty lies in the way, the dragon breaks out into his version of a grin. he hums--a deep, horrible croon--and sits back with satisfaction.
he's still leaning down enough to be fairly close to his smaller companion, but they're not eye-to-eye. he wants to be able to get a good look at his bizarre, skeletal friend, while also not looming over him too badly. he can fall back into that stance at any time, after all.]
